When to Use Puracol Plus Collagen Dressing?
Indications:
- Pressure ulcers
- Partial and full thickness wounds
- Ulcers caused by mixed vascular etiologies
- Diabetic ulcers
- Donor sites and other bleeding surface wounds
- Abrasions
- Traumatic wounds healing by secondary intention
- Dehisced surgical wounds
Contraindications:
- Active vasculitis or patients with known sensitivity to collagen
- Patients with known sensitivity to silver
- Third-degree burns
How to Apply Puracol Plus Collagen Dressing?
- Follow normal procedures for wound bed preparation such as irrigating with wound cleansers or saline, and debriding the wound if necessary
- Dry the area surrounding the wound
- The dressing may be cut to size or shape to better match the wound area
- To maintain a moist wound it should be covered with a suitable secondary dressing such as Suresite Film Dressings, Optifoam or Optifoam Ag foam dressings, StrataSorb or a bodered gauze
- Remove outer, secondary dressing and at clinician discretion, remove the remaining collagen from the wound,or replace another collagen sheet on top of the previous sheet
- Change / reapply Puracol Plus AG up to 7 days, depending on drainage
Change Frequency:
- May be left in place for up to 7 days
- Dressing change frequency will depend on amount of drainage
- No returns accepted after 30 days from date of shipment
- All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee
- All returns must have an RMA number (Returned Merchandise Authorization Number) unauthorized returns will not be accepted
- The products must be in new, unused condition, not tampered with, in original packaging and returned at the customer's expense in the original packaging
- If your return is not due to any manufacturing defect then the original shipping cost and credit card/paypal processing fee will be deducted from the total refund
